Immunization records – something new

If you are like most parents, you don’t necessarily keep a copy of your childs immunization records for those many requests from schools.  Bayshore Pediatrics would like to share a new way to access your childs immunization record directly from home.  The Wisconsin Immunization Registry (WIR) is a statewide secure computerized record of your childs immunizations.  Immunizations provided at Bayshore Pediatrics, public health departments, or many other clinics around the state of Wisconsin are reported to the Wisconsin Immunization Registry on a routine basis.  Parents and guardians are now able to access these records from home.  In order for parents and guardians to securely access the records, the child’s social security number must be on file.  Bayshore Pediatrics can assist with this by providing the Wisconsin Immunization Registry the child social security number.  In order to do so, you can provide your child’s social security number to us and we will enter it into the registry.  This information is secure and is not viewable by anyone.  Once entered, you will be able to access your child’s vaccine record at any time.  You can learn more by the WIR link below or going to our website. We are hopeful that this will be useful to our families.

Another great tool. Will save me time when the school requestes an updated form. Not to mention one less thing that I have to keep track.
Wish the site would explain what the shots are for that are remaining.
