Car seat safety check event a success!

Last Thursday everyone woke up with gloomy clouds and the iffy weather – 50% chance of rain (at least it wasn’t snow).  Not a promising start for the Car seat safety check event that was planned.  We kept our hopes alive and it proved to be a good day for a car seat safety check.  Bayshore hosted the car seat safety event at the request of Children’s Health Education Center and Kohl’s.  The staff from the education center dressed in bright blue poncho’s to keep the rain away, brought hot drinks to keep the cold away and brought a cheery attitude to keep the parents coming.  It worked.  We had a great turn out – 15 families with more children had their car seats installed and fitted for optimum safety.  We would like to extend a very BIG thank you to the staff from Children’s Health Education Center and to the parents who participated in the event.  THANK YOU ALL.

We hope that we can host another event in the spring/summer next year (better weather).
