Appreciation of having vaccine

I want to thank all of you who have been reading the blog and checking here for whether we have doses of the H1N1 vaccine.  It has already been a long “winter” for our staff at Bayshore Pediatrics.  Our reception and nursing staff have gone above and beyond their roles to ensure that we can get the vaccine out as soon as possible.  We must have a vaccine fairy for we have been lucky in our acquisition of this vaccine.  We have had so many calls from families who see other pediatricians who choose not to get the vaccine or have not received it.  It is hard to say no to these families, but we are trying to get it to all of our patients as quickly as possible.

Our front staff is fielding over 1000 phone calls a day.  They are doing this while still trying to care for and get the patients who are sick, in to see us.  Please remember to be patient.  They are already stretched and doing as much as they can, so understand when your wait on the phone may be a little longer then normal or when they may say, “I’m sorry we don’t have the vaccine at this time.”

It would be great for their spirits to just say thank you to them.  They often take the brunt of the phone calls from frustrated parents.  Please let them that it is not only the physicians who appreciate what they are doing, but also you our patients and families.  It will make their day a little easier to hear many thank yous.

And to you our patients, thank you for being patient and working with us during this busy time.  Your child’s health is always our primary concern.  By working together, we can all come through this difficult season healthy.

We are so grateful to be patients at such a wonderful practice! Thank you for everything you do! I have always been greeted with a pleasant voice whenever I call and a friendly face is always waiting to help us when we come in. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! And even through the crisis at hand, there has been no change. So thank you to the staff, nurses, and doctors for all that you do!

Also, thank you for this blog! It has been so helpful and I refer to it so often. The H1N1 updates have been great and I always feel very informed in comparison to my friends whose children are patients at a different practice.

Keep up the good work! Your kindness has not gone unnoticed!

I agree!! You guys are doing a fabulous job! I brought my two kids in for their H1N1 mist last week…and the office was indeed busy, but the staff was still pleasant as usual!

The blog continues to be VERY helpful! Keep up the great work on the postings! You do such a fantastic job of making information available to parents.

Hang in there Bayshore Pediatrics! :-)

I would also like to thank everyone at the office!

First, the blog has been very helpful. I have felt so informed throughout this process.

The desk staff are troopers! I’ve had to call the office for other issues & to make appts for the vaccine. They were just as friendly as always even though they have been bombarded with calls.

The nurses are also fantastic, and not just during this time. My husband and I always comment on how amazing the nurses are with our kids. They always go above & beyond to make them comfortable.

    Thanks for everything!

THANK YOU to all the doctors, nurses, and front staff at Bayshore Ped…especially now. I have heard the tiredness in the receptionists’ voices this autumn but they are still unfailingly patient and helpful, and their smiles are still there when we come in. We have had an experience similar to Rebecca’s, the nurses have always been amazing with our kids, and I appreciate them and the receptionists all the more so right now for patiently listening and for giving us the information and answers we need. Our kids have no fear of going to their doctor’s office, either…that’s how great your entire practice is!

LOVE the blog, have it on my feed and have shared it with friends looking for information.

Thanks for being “our” pediatric practice!

I’m so appreciative of everything that has been done on the H1N1 front- from the blog updates, to scheduling when it’s was in. I feel so blessed that my children are seen by the doctors at Bayshore Pediatrics, especially Dr. Paley. Many of my friends’ children have not been able to receive the vaccine yet because their doctors have not gotten it in, so I feel so fortunate to have had my children vaccinated. When we were in there this week, the office was chaotic to say the least but you would never know it by the way the staff acted. They were so nice and warm. It cannot be easy.

The Journal Sentinel article was great. I spoke to the writer of the article and he said the doctors’ passion for their jobs was so apparent during his interviews.

    Good luck this winter.
